Hanging out at the Showcase

Today is the big day!!! We are at the showcase and we ate pizza. We are talking to teachers and we are explaining about our projects. We got lots of good compliments and this class who won twice, told us that we have what it takes to be winners! Stacy (a worker at OCDE) took a picture of us!! We feel special! We are so glad to participate and represent our school and our ELA class. We would also like to go to palm springs and show it to all of the people that work there. We are having so much fun and wish us luck to go to palm springs!
Today is 1-24-09 and we are very exited about today because we are at the technology showcase at St. John's Lutheran school. We are going to present our digital storytelling today in three minutes. This is a good experience  for us because we are doing a presentation to teachers and administrators.

Digital Storytelling: A Reflection

At first Ms.B read us a book about a dream of a girl and a magic horse. After we got an idea how we would do our own dream story. We first had to write five paragraphs and it had to be about any dream of our own. We wrote a rough draft and edited our writing and we would start a Microsoft PowerPoint. We typed our words into the PowerPoint and added some clipart pictures. Another touch we added to it was we would act out parts of our story and we would take pictures of us. After that Ms.B would download the pictures and we would put it onto our PowerPoint. Ms.B edited our stories when we were done. Now came the fun part, putting into Photo Story! It would be like making your own movie! We saved our PowerPoints as Jpegs so we would find our images in Photo Story. After this we narrated our stories. We added music of our choice. We had fun messing around with types of music we wanted. After weeks, we were done. We viewed our stories, but we thought we could’ve improved on our loudness. So we deleted our last narration and narrated them again. At last we were finally done!
